[TONYMOLY] I'm Real Avocado Rich Cream : Review and Swatches

Hello everyone !

Today, I'm gonna review a product that I've been using for about two weeks now, and that I really like.

To be honest, although I'm a big fan of TONYMOLY, I didn't know that their I'm real line included this cream too, until I received some samples a while ago with my Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream order, that I've been using this whole time, impatiently waiting to get the full size product, and guess what? It was delivered this morning after a long 10 days of waiting (or maybe not, it was delivered fast actually)

Okay I'll stop fangirling and let's get started! So, what is this cream?

Description:
This cream is the 3rd step of a 3-step system claiming to be the perfect solution for skin troubles, perfect for all skin types.

Volume: 90ml.

Ingredients:
I tried to make the full list of ingredients by reading the hangul and guessing, hope it will be helpful:

Purified water, Glycerin, Butylene glycol, Dipropylene glycol, ethylhexyl palmitate, Buckwheat seed extract, cyclopentasiloxane, Caprylic/capric triglyceride, Silica, Cetearyl alcohol, Pentylene glycol, Cyclohexasiloxane, Avocado extract (67.5mg), Birch sap, Portulaca oleracea extract, Octyldodecyl mystate, Polysorbate 60, Ammonium acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP copolymer, Tromethamine, Dimethiconol, Hydrogenated lecithin, Sorbitan sesquioleate, Glyceryl stearate, PEG-100 stearate, Acrylate/C10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, Caprylyl glycol, Palmitic acid, Bis-PEG-18 methyl ether dimethyl silane, Dimethicone/vinyl dimethicone crosspolymer, Argan oil polyglyceryl-6 esters, Glyceryl caprylate, Carbomer, Xanthan gum, C2-10 alcohol, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Fragance.
Paraben, talc, triethanolamine, sulfate surfactant, benzophenone, mineral oil, artificial colors free.

How to use?
After your toner, apply a moderate amount according to skin texture.

Packaging:

The cream comes in a simple yet beautiful see-through milky jar, that is a little bit smaller than I expected. The design gives off a natural feeling, especially with the printed yellow-ish avocados onto it. There are no box.

As you can see in the pictures above, the ingredients and the instructions are printed on the jar, while round paper containing some additional informations about the product is glued to the bottom of the jar, everything wrote in Hangul.

I was worried that the jar has a metallic cap, but fortunately it is made from plastic, so no need to worry about it being ruined but the bathroom's humidity.

It comes with a white sturdy plastic lid to protect the cream, which make me less worried about it being leaked while traveling. There is no spatula in it, but it doesn't really bother me since I never use my skin care products without washing my hands (really washing them).

Consistency and swatches:

The cream is really rich, like soooooo rich, so using a little amount of the cream will be largely sufficient.

This cream feels so lightweight even though it is so rich. It does a good job moisturising my skin without feeling too greasy. It is refreshing and soothing and is absorbed quickly into the skin.
The skin around my brows area became so dry and started cracking for the last 2 months (which is really annoying), and this cream was like my savior! *-*
The other thing I really liked about this moisturizer, I've been breaking out lately due to unknown reasons (or maybe because I was so reckless and started putting whatever I found on my skin + my recent sickness) and this cream helped greatly in healing them and making my skin look healthier.

So let's summarize!
Pros:
- So moisturising and so rich.
- A little amount is enough for the whole face ==> the cream will last longer.
- The nice packaging.
- The plastic cap ==> no worries while leaving it in the humid bathroom.
- The plastic lid ==> makes it travel-friendly.
- The see-through glass ==> makes it easy to know how much product you have left.
- It is really amazing for skin troubles!

Cons
Nothing to be honest, but some people might dislike the fact that it doesn't come with a spatula.

Will I repurchase it?
Absolutely! It is really good otherwise I wouldn't have bought it after trying the samples. I've also bought the rice smooth toner from the same line, and I can't wait to receive it!

  5. I've just bought my first skincare product from tonymoly (the goat milk cream) and I'm so happy to see a positive review for their other creams, too! Stuff like this kinda reassures me about the whole brand. ^^
Normally, very moisturizing creams can make me break out - so it's great to hear that it actually calmed your breakouts! Maybe I'll try this cream for winter :3

  6. Hello Mei,

thanks for the lovely review. I just came across a recommendation of this particular cream by TonyMony and was wondering if it was appropriate to use during the winter time?! I live in the middle of Europe, where it can get quite cold, windy and rainy in the months dez-feb. So it would help if you told me your opinion on that. Lightweight but rich you said? Did it feel like you needed to apply more after 2-3 hours?

    Thanks for yout time.

    1. Hi Luchessa~
I have an extremely dehydrated skin and it's quite windy where I live which makes my skin even more dehydrated, so I usually need to layer moisturisers this waay it stays moisturised the whole day. If you have a normal/oily skin (or even a dry skin) this will be more than enough, but if you have an extremely dry or dehydrated skin then you might need to use another product with it or reapply it after few hours.
      Hope it helped ^^
