[WISH FORMULA] I'm Pro Ampoule Pad: Review

Hello lovelies ~~

Last month (I think), Wish Formula announced on their instagram that they have launched a new product and are looking for 5 testers, so I thought why not? I reposted the image and luckily I was chosen to try their product (they also sent me this mask that I'm excited to try since sheet masks are my fav skincare product).

If you don't know about Wish formula, it's a Korean skincare brand that is known for making its products with natural processing instead of chemical processing which maximises active ingredients in nature while removing harmful toxins and allergy inducing materials. They have some really interesting products that you might want to check out, you can find them either on their website or their their instagram account (you can order by sending a DM)

Description and claims:

Groundbreaking Pad & Concentrated Ampoule technology with Patent, it is a Home Spa Product which gives maximized absorption and transmission into the skin.

Content: A box contains 10 sachets with the ampoule pads, but the one I received has only 5 in it.

How to use:

1- Balance out the skin by using toner after cleansing
2- Place the Ampoule Pad band between the fingers and apply all over the face. Tap the Ampoule Pad onto the skin to absorb better
3- 1 min later, massage the remaining ampoule into the skin

Packaging: 10/10

It comes in a red box with several sachets inside, which I really like since this way it's much more hygienic than putting the pads in a jar. It also prevents the product from oxidizing (since it contains Vitamin C) or drying (it happened to me before... I forgot to close the jar firmly once, and ended up with dry pads and evaporated essence..)

It's also travel friendly since these pads won't take much space, and also I doubt it would be considered as a liquid so you can take it with you at the last minute and stuff it in your carry on bag.

The pads: 8/10

Don't mind my extra puffy fingers... they tend to get really swollen during winter TT

I was actually taken aback when I first opened the sachet. I was expecting the pads to have an embossed side or something to exfoliate the skin like the other pads I've tried before, but it's silk smooth instead, and the liquid that it's soaked in makes it feel extra slippery and tiny teeny bit slimy.

The Ampoule: 10/10

The pads are soaked in a lot of product (way more product than one face can absorb) so I usually use it on my hands since they really need some brightening (I usually walk with my hands in front of my face to block the blinding sun rays, and always forget applying sunscreen on them).
The ampoule smells vaguely like the C20 Serum (you can find its full review here) and tastes like it (yeah you read right, I taste my products :3 ).
When you apply it on your face, you can feel that it's less sticky and absorbs faster than the Vitamin C serums I've tried before, but takes a little more time than the other ampoules I've tried before.

The effects: 8/10

I double cleaned my face and used my usual toner and the used this ampoule, I didn't feel any tingling or irritation the first time I used it. The second day was the same until about 30 min after applying it, I felt pimples forming under my skin, and by the end of the day I had one huge pimple on each cheek.. hoorah!!
I am not sure whether this is because I was only one week away from my periods, or I'm stressing since my finals are around the corner (this can't be it since I still am not stressing out.. I won't stress out until there is only one day left and it's too late to do anything about it), or because of these pads. Either way, I will update this post in the next couple of weeks and let you know whether this product caused my pimples or not.

Other than that, I think I could see some brightening effects on my hands, nothing major but my hands are absolutely brighter even after a couples of uses, I can't say the same for my face since I have quite a fair skintone so it won't show even if there was any. It also does a decent job hydrating the skin, which is always a plus for me since I have a dehydrated skin.

Do I recommend it?

I have to make sure about those pimples first before I can say my final thoughts about it, but other than that I think it is absolutely a great brightening product, and it also does a decent job hydrating your skin ( you should also take this into consideration if you have an oily skin since it might make your skin oilier). Also, don't forget to always have sunscreen on otherwise your skin will burn instead of becoming brighter.

UPDATE 02/11/2017: After trying these pads later I absolutely love them. sure they are kinda pricey to use them everyday but I absolutely recommend getting them if you have the budget, or use them once or twice a week while pampering yourself (like I do). They help healing your pimples really fast, and the next morning your face looks absolutely healthier (just make sure you wash your face the next morning)

  1. Thanks for the review it was really helpful.
But damn...only 10 sheets in a full size box? That's really a little.
Do you think this product is good enough to be used alone? I mean, if I were to use this on a rushed morning, for someone with dehydrated skin, is this product hydrating enough without having to apply other essences/emulsions/creams?

    1. Glad you like it ^^
If you have a super dehydrated skin, this won't be enough unless you have already used a good moisturising night pack the night before and u usually prefer to use light products at the morning (like I do)
